Journey to Sekinchan

Se-kin-chan
That's Jiok's hometown. In case you don't know who is Jiok and I've been mentioning her name a few times here, she's my A-levels classmate and is one of the really close + great friends I have. We've known each other for almost 3 years now but I've never been to her hometown. Finally, on friday, 4 of us (AnGie + Wen + Jiok + ME) took our backpacks and left for Sekinchan...

The journey there was kinda long, 2 hours of driving by our beloved Wen *thanx*. Finally, we reach around 7-8pm. Our first stop was at "Wan Lau" for DINNER! Funny name rite? Anyway, they serve delicious food! Boy! The dishes taste extra delicious when you're hungry. We had salt steamed crabs (x3), fried baby sotong, 'Hang Hng' - Stingray and 'La la Jian'. Guess how much it cost? ONLY RM61!!!!Though we are 'filled' but we went to the next stop for dumplings 'Shui Jiao'. (12 dumplings + a plate of noodles)/4 = super-duper full! Feeling totally satisfied, we headed back to her house, met her parents and her sis! They are so friendly. ^^ Oh oh oh! We had our FIRST honeydew that nite. Towards midnite, Jiok drove us out for Yumcha! Yupz! Jiok's driving!!!!!!!! It was a totally new experience cuz the place where we Yumcha was not the normal Mamak, it was a cafe like...like open air cafe. Nice atmosphere. We called it a day after that.

Before Bed
Me and AnGie, our 1st pic together?

The sun shined into the room around 8am. Surprisingly it was only 8am! Cuz all of us thought that it was already noon. By the time all of us got up, Jiok's mum and aunt was already making 'Ba Zhang' in the kitchen. YUM! Anyway, Uncle and her sis brought us out for Brunch! *wink* We had crabs again! Shark meat soup was a special dish, haven't tried that before, in fact I've never tasted shark meat before, only shark fin. Hmm...There was spicy prawn, slipper fish (I don't know what it's called, but it looks like slipper to me) and another type of fish. YUM! It totally satisfied our appetite! Next, 6 of us in her dad's car were in search of honeydews! We managed to get some and headed back home. We ate our SECOND honeydew then. Rested a bit and left for Harbour Cafe where we met Jiok's friends.

After that we went to the paddy field! Gosh! It's so huge...can't even see the edge of it! Hmm...The ones I saw lastime in Malacca wasn't that large, this is really huge man! We took some pics under the HOT sun! The greens was so nice, like it's so relaxing. Maybe that's why I LOVE GREEN! We ate again after that, then stopped by this stall for Soybean and 'Tau Fu Fa'. Headed back home to pack and left for Nilai around 5.30pm! Before we leave, all of us had our THIRD honeydew.

Struggling to open our eyes

Yeah!

Woohoo! Feel the GREEN!

The journey home was faster. HAha...as expected. But all of us are exhausted especially Wen that was driving. Lots of Thanx to her. Muackz to Jiok for bringing us around. Gie for sleeping with me...hahaha...on the bed. Thanx to uncle, aunties and jiejie...hehe...I totally enjoyed myself! It was so relaxing! I had fun! Though the journey was far but I feel it's worth it! ^^ I HAD NICE NICE DELICIOUS FOOD! Oh ya! Not to forget, Thanx for the BaZhang!
